Earth Day on Every Block: Middle Georgia

Middle Georgia Clean Air and Clean Cities Coalitions hosted an Earth Day Celebration at Cherry Plaza in Downtown Macon to educate and commemorate Eco-advocates.

It's Eco-friendly living at its best. Middle Georgia's Earth Day celebration not only honored Mother Nature, but also showed people how going green isn't just about the environment.

Last Thursday and throughout the weekend, for the 40th Anniversary of Earth Day, we at Green The Block celebrated and took action at events all over the country. As I look over some of the stories coming in from these events, I am humbled by the leadership and partnerships that are emerging in cities and towns across the country.

This year, Earth Day is coming to Appalachia!  For Green The Block’s Earth Day on Every Block, the Appalachian State University is inviting the community to attend a free Sustainability Symposium, hosted by ASU’s Graduate Chapter of The Net Impact Club and sponsored in part by the Walker College of Business Sustainable MBA Program.
