Ayana Meade

Author Ayana Meade with DrakeBig ups to Drake for leading today’s hip-hop generation in a greener direction. Being that I’m an Environmental Journalist, I was delighted when I got the news that I had won free passes from Green For All to see Drake at Cornell University in Ithaca New York on the last leg of his Campus Consciousness Tour.

On August 4th, 2009 we publically announced Green the Block at a press conference at the White House. This spring, Green The Block will engage communities throughout the country in monthly action events focusing on education, awareness and service, modeled after our very successful National Service and Remembrance Day which featured more than 100 service events on September 11, 2009. We'll also join hip hop and R&B star Drake on the Campus Consciousness Tour.
