Green the Block is a campaign led by the Green For All and Hip Hop Caucus, and a coalition of over seventy organizations. On August 4th, 2009 we publically announced Green the Block at a press conference at the White House. This spring, Green The Block will engage communities throughout the country in monthly action events focusing on education, awareness and service, modeled after our very successful National Service and Remembrance Day which featured more than 100 service events on September 11, 2009. We'll also join hip hop and R&B star Drake on the Campus Consciousness Tour.
Check out the monthly action themes, get involved and take action in your community today.

This summer, Green The Block is ready to celebrate the great summer tradition of breaking bread with friends and family with our Healthy Food, Healthy Communities Celebration!
As we arrived in Maine on April 6th, there was a lot we didn’t know. We were departing on a journey that would take us through over a dozen states and to 17 different campuses.
Big ups to Drake for leading today’s hip-hop generation in a greener direction. Being that I’m an Environmental Journalist, I was delighted when I got the news that I had won free passes from Green For All to see Drake at Cornell University in Ithaca New York on the last leg of his Campus Consciousness Tour.
